Regulations
BADMINTON BONANZA SERIES CONDITIONS - LIVERPOOL

1 Player may only enter one standard throughout their chosen events (Beginner or Social or League).

2 Players within the adult events must be 16 years of age or older on the date of the tournament, and must pay the appropriate adult entry fee.

3 Players within the junior events must be under the specified age on the date of the tournament. Juniors who have a BADMINTON England grading (1 or 2) are not eligible – the February 2012 grading list will be used.

4 Players within the Over 40 events must be 40 years of age or over on the date of the tournament.

5 Player must meet the criteria below to be eligible for their chosen standard.

BEGINNER: Players who are members of a club (or played any competitive badminton) are not eligible to compete in the beginner standard. A club is considered as a regular playing session with a paid enrolment or membership process.
SOCIAL: Players who have played local league matches or above in the last 3 years are not eligible to compete in the social standard.
LEAGUE: Players who have represented their county or above in the last 3 years or have been a member of any National Squad at any time are not eligible to compete.

6 Players entering ‘partner wanted’ will be paired if a partner and places are available. Both players in a doubles event must submit an entry form with the appropriate fees (photocopies will be accepted).

7 Players may enter only one event per time slot (see overleaf).

8 The Referee reserves the right not to hold an event if insufficient entries are received and to limit numbers in any event. The date entries are received will be taken into account. You will be notified at
least 7 days before the tournament if your entry has been accepted and any change to start times listed. If such notification has not been received please ring 01908 268400.

9 All events will be played in groups with the winners going through to a knockout stage. If there is only one group, no knockout stage will be played.

10 All events will be played using rally point scoring. Unless stated all events shall be 1 game to 21, with no setting. There will be no coaching or intervals during play.

11 Feathered shuttlecocks will be used.

12 The closing date for entries is 18 May 2012.

13 Entry can be made online or by post. Entries without payment will not be accepted. Cheques or Postal Orders must be made payable to ‘BADMINTON England’. Please do not post cash.

14 The Referees decision on all matters is final.
